KATHMANDU, June 2: The Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded a response from Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal regarding the remarks made by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, which targeted party leaders.
Speaking during the special hour in the House of Representatives on Sunday, NC Member of Parliament (MP) and General Secretary Gagan Thapa stated that the Prime Minister should address the allegations made by Home Minister Lamichhane.

"Either the Prime Minister should take ownership of the remarks or instruct their removal from the parliamentary record," said Thapa. "Otherwise, the Prime Minister will be held accountable, and this accountability will be sought in this very parliament."
During the House of Representatives session on May 19, Home Minister Lamichhane targeted Thapa, accusing him of selling information to foreigners.
Immediately after the parliamentary session, Thapa held a press conference challenging Lamichhane to provide evidence for his claims. Thapa stated, "The Home Minister should not be making threats like 'let me open your file, let me investigate you.' Instead, files should be promptly opened, investigations conducted, and if found guilty, action should be taken."
