CHITWAN, Oct 7:Vice President of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has said that his party was committed to conclude the peace process and constituion drafting process.

Addressing a party workers´ meeting in Ratnagar, Chitwan Friday morning, Poudel said the NC would not compromise with anyone putting the peace and constitution at risk.[break]

The task of taking the peace process to a conclusion and drafting of the new constituion would be easier if the UCPN ( Maoist), the single largest party in the Constituent Assembly, became positive towards this, he said, adding, " Our party wants to see the completion of the peace process and constitution drafting process as early as possible".

"The Maoist combatants inside the cantonments are still under the direct supervision of the Maoist leadership despite they are said to be brought under the monitoring of the Special Commitee", said NC leader Poudel.

Integration of the Maoist fighters should be carried out as per the criteria of the Nepal Army, stressed the NC Vice President, adding that their bulk entry into the security bodies was not possible.
