KHOTANG, July 1: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Bhupendra Rai has emerged victorious in the race for the chief of Diprung Rural Municipality with 2902 votes defeating his nearest rival CPN-UML candidate Arjun Roka who secured 1802 votes.

Likewise, NC candidate Sapana Rai 1981 who obtained votes has won the race for the deputy chief defeating her closest rival CPN-UML candidate Ambika Rai who got 1981 votes.
