NC Chitwan district convention begins

KATHMANDU, March 3: The district convention of Nepal Congress, Chitwan, has started from today.

In the election to be held under the convention, Minister of Bagmati Province Milan Babu Shrestha from party president Sher Bahadur Deuba’s faction and from Shekhar Koirala’s faction Dr Suryakant Ghimire, Uttam Joshi, Bijay Bhusal and Rajeshwar Khanal are contesting for the post of district president of the party.

Similarly, Kailash Koirala has been claiming his candidature as a common candidate. Nepali Congress leader Arjun Narasingha KC has been working since Wednesday to forge an agreement between them.
