NC candidate elected unopposed in Okhaldhunga

KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Tekraj Bhattarai, who contested for the post of chief of Okhaldhunga District Coordination Committee in the local level by-election-2081, has been elected unopposed to the post.

KATHMANDU, Nov 17: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Tekraj Bhattarai, who contested for the post of chief of Okhaldhunga District Coordination Committee in the local level by-election-2081, has been elected unopposed to the post.


According to Krishna Prasad Paudel, chief secretary of the Nepali Congress Central Office, the NC candidate was elected unopposed because no other person filed candidacy for the post on Sunday. The Election Commission Nepal had announced Sunday as the day for filing candidacy to contest the by-election.

The Nepali Congress Central Office has expressed its sincere thanks to the people in general, other political parties and all the people's representatives who played an important role in getting their candidates elected unopposed.
