Speaking at a function in Nepalgunj on Thursday, Koirala said, “Our party would take initiatives to ensure representation of Madhesis, Muslims, women and indigenous people.” Koirala then went to claim that NC is the only pro-democracy force in the country.[break]
“Democracy would be in peril if our party fails to secure two-thirds majority in the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) polls,” said Koirala. He further claimed that his party would emerge as the largest party in the coming elections.
“The country will get a new constitution if our party secures two-thirds majority.” Koirala is contesting the polls from constituency 3 of Banke district.
