NC against single-identity based federalism

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Nepali Congress (NC) Spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu has said that the NC would not accept the single-identity based federalism.



Addressing a cadres´ meet at the party office in Mahendranagar this morning, Badu claimed that the erstwhile Constituent Assembly (CA) was dissolved due to the UCPN (Maoist) and added that federalism should carved out based on feasibility not on single ethnic line.[break]



He assured the party cadres about the timely CA election as efforts were underway to bring the CPN-Maoist and other agitating parties on board.



The NC leader directed the party cadres to unite for forthcoming CA election.
