Naya Shakti takes lead in Palungtar Rural Municipality in Gorkha

GORKHA, May 16: Naya Shakti Party, Nepal(NSPN) is taking the lead in the race for the chief of Palungtar Rural Municipality in Gorkha district.

NSPN candidate for the chief of Rural Municipality Ashok Devkota has garnered 1264 votes, compared to 804 votes garnered by his closest rival belonging to CPN(Maoist Center).

Likewise, NSPN candidate for deputy chief of Palungtar Rural Municipality has obtained 1216 votes, compared to 859 votes garnered by his closest adversary Maoist Center candidate.

Nepal Congress candidates and UML candidates have found themselves in the third and fourth positions respectively by the time this news was being prepared.
