National Nature and Wildlife Photography Exhibition concludes

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Wildlife Conservation Nepal’s eighth National Nature and Wildlife Photography Exhibition, 2016, supported by Nepal Bangladesh Bank concluded on Wednesday at Kathmandu Durbar Square, Basantapur.

KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Wildlife Conservation Nepal’s eighth National Nature and Wildlife Photography Exhibition, 2016, supported by Nepal Bangladesh Bank concluded on Wednesday at Kathmandu Durbar Square, Basantapur.



A total of 104 photographers participated in the competition. More than 500 photographs were submitted on different categories of flora, fauna, macro, human interaction with nature and landscape.



Ayush Man Kayastha won the grand prize. Similarly category prize winners were Rameshwar Maharjan for flora category, Sanjay Maharjan for fauna category, Shreemila Bajracharya for macro, Prakash Budha for landscape, Chandra Man Dangol for human interaction with nature category.



Nikita Shrestha Shakya, Ayush Man Kayastha, Santosh Raj Pathak, Umid Ratna Shakya were among the top 10 winners including the category winners.



The event was a part of photo festival ‘Nature Through Lens’. Photo walk, eco restoration in Padmapur Coummunity Forest by Nepal Bangladesh Bank and Wildlife Conservation Nepal were also conducted as the part of the festival.
