National Assembly passes condolence motion

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: The National Assembly has passed a condolence proposal over the demise of former lawmaker Kamal Pangeni. 

Pangeni had actively participated in the democratic movement of the country. 

The meeting of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament observed a minute's silence wishing for the eternal peace to the departed soul. Assembly chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina presented the condolence motion in the meeting. 

Pangeni was elected to the Constituent Assembly from Syangja district election constituency-2 in the election held to the Constituent Assembly in 2070 BS. He also served as the Nepali Congress Syangja district president. He was also a social worker. 

Pangeni passed away due to cardiac arrest at his residence on Sunday morning. 

The next meeting of the National Assembly will take place at 11 am on August 8. RSS
