National Assembly Chairman Timilsina holds meeting with Spain's First DPM Calvo

PORTUGAL, April 8: National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, who is currently visiting Spain, held a meeting with Carmen Calvo, the first deputy prime minister of Spain, on Wednesday.

PORTUGAL, April 8: National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, who is currently visiting Spain, held a meeting with Carmen Calvo, the first deputy prime minister of Spain, on Wednesday.


During the meeting, matters pertaining to further deepening bilateral relationship between Nepal and Spain were discussed, Rashtriya Samachar Samiti reported.

A Nepali team led by NA Chairperson Timilsina is currently on a three-day visit to Spain to launch a fundraising campaign for establishing the Lumbini Peace Garden at Crothers city of Spain.


The campaign is all set to be announced during the Peace Conference being held in Spain which aims to raise a fund of 70 million Euros.


NA Chairman Timilsina also met Chairperson of regional government of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernandez Vara which was also attended by Nepali Ambassador to Spain, Dawa Phuti Sherpa, mayors of different municipalities and representatives of Lumbini Garden Foundation.


The Nepali delegation comprises Mayor of Lumbini Sanskitik Municipality, Manmohan Chaudhary; Mayor of Ramgram Municipality, Narendra Kumar Gupta; Mayor of Kapilvastu Municipality, Kiran Singh; Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Devdaha Municipality, Hira Bahadur Khatri and Bidhya Laxmi Gurung respectively; chief architect of Lumbini Peace Garden, Ujjwal Man Shakya and others.
