Nation-wide boxing from August 9

KATHMANDU, June 29: Lalitpur District Boxing Association is set to hold the Fourth National and First Junior (Novic) Boxing Tournament from August 9 to 13 at the Satdobato Swimming Complex in Lalitpur.

Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Wednesday, the host informed that altogether 24 events--- 10 in men's section and seven each in women's and junior's categories will be held.

Newly appointed Nepal Boxing Association President Ram Awale, who is also the Lalitpur district president, informed that the gold, silver and bronze medalists in all categories will receive Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 1,000 respectively and the tournament will cost Rs 2 million.
