CHITWAN, July 4: The Narayangadh-Muglin road section, which was obstructed since 7:30 am today after two landslides, opened for traffic at 16:35 this afternoon. The highway came back to operation after the debris from the two landslides were cleared. The road was obstructed following the separate landslides at Topekhola and Khalikhola area at 5:30 and 8:30 this morning.
Two-way traffic resumes on Narayanghat-Mugling road section
The two-way traffic along the road resumed this afternoon after the clearance of the obstruction, according to engineer of Narayanghat-Muglin road project Shiva Khanal. Hundreds of vehicles have left for their destination as the vehicular movement resumed. Two excavators and loaders were used in both the sites to clear the debris of the landslides to resume the vehicular movement.
Kalikhola is nearly 3.1 kms away from Muglin while Topekhola is 3.3 kms far and these both the areas have witnessed repeated landslides in this rainy season after the existing walls of the hill were scratched during the recent road expansion. RSS
