KATHMANDU, May 26: Bhuwan Nagarkoti beat Nepal number one Shivaram Shrestha on the second extra hole in the playoff to lift the Surya Nepal Premier Golf Championship at the par-72 Gokarna Golf Club on Thursday.
They shared the lead on 12-under 26 after the completion of 72 holes carding one-under 71 of the 10th and final event of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2017-18. Nagarkoti carded a birdie on the second extra hole at the par4 to win the title, after both the pros carded pars on the first extra hole.

Toran Bikram Shahi finished third at four-under 284 after one-over 73 round on the same day. This was the third consecutive title for Nagarkoti and also the fourth of the season. With the win, he took home Rs 230,000, while the runner-up Shrestha got Rs 140,000. The third-placed pro was rewarded with Rs 95,000.
The others in top 24 will also got their share of cash prizes. Dhana Bahadur Thapa carded even par-72 to get the fourth place at 285. He got Rs 77,500. Sanjay Lama (73) got the fifth place at 287, while Bal Bhadra Rai finished sixth at 290. Jayaram Shrestha and Dinesh Prajapati were tied for seventh, Krishna Man Rajbahak was ninth and Purna Prasad Sharma and Rabi Khadka were tied at 10th.
