KATHMANDU, Dec 16: After the agreement with the cabin crews (flight attendants), Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) flights have resumed. The agitation of the cabin crews ended after an agreement was reached between the cabin crews and the NAC management. The cabin crews had halted their service demanding the continuation of their services.

The management committee of the NAC has currently renewed the terms of contract employees and the committee has informed that a study committee has also been formed to solve the remaining problems. They started protesting over the non-renewal of the contract of the employees working at the NAC.

The flights scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday were delayed due to the protest at the NAC headquarter. The NAC Spokesperson Archana Khadka said that two flights on Wednesday and three flights on Thursday were delayed due to disruption by NAC employees.

According to Spokesperson Khadka, the flights from Kathmandu to Doha and Dubai took off three hours late on Wednesday. The scheduled flights from Kathmandu to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and Bangalore and New Delhi in India were also affected on Thursday. Khadka said that the flight schedule will be regular and fixed in 1-2 days.

On long-haul international flights, a new set of cabin crew is usually sent to Malaysia and Dubai. The flight schedule was delayed as cabin crews are needed to complete their 10 hours of rest, according to the aviation rules.
