JUMLA, April 11: An aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) with call sign 9N-ABQ narrowly averted a possible accident in Jumla airport on Monday afternoon.

The aircraft was about to take off for Nepalgunj at 1:30 pm when the crew members discovered that a wire of a nose landing gear steering had snapped. They then turned off the engine, averting a possible mishap. A total of 16 passengers were onboard the aircraft.

Chief of the airport, Pawan Shrestha informed that the aircraft had already travelled 540 meters on the runway before the crew discovered the flaw.
