KATHMANDU, Sept 20: Nabin Ghimire’s name has been endorsed as the Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) held in Singha Durbar today unanimously endorsed Ghimire as the CIAA chief.

Ghimre will official become the head of the CIAA once President Bidya Devi Bhandari administers oath of office and secrecy to him.
The PHSC had allocated 10 days’ time until September 17 for registering complaints against Ghimire. However, no complaints had been registered against him so far.
On September 5, the Constitutional Council (CC) had recommended Ghimire as the chief of the CIAA that had been headless for seven months.
