KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Chattraman Singh Gurung on Sunday left for the United States to participate in the 14th Annual Chiefs of Defense (CHOD) Conference on “Multilateral Approaches to Maritime Security (MARSEC) in Asia-Pacific” scheduled to be held at Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. 



Issues such as assistance on bilateral marital security in the Asia Pacific region and management of natural disasters will be discussed during the four-day conference organized by the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM), informed the Directorate of Public Relations, Nepal Army. 



Army chiefs from 27 different countries are participating in conference. Commander of Asia Pacific Command, Admiral Robert Willard, will address the conference.  Gurung will return home on October 26.
