Mustang road mishap kills 1, injures 14

MUSTANG, Oct. 3: A woman died and 14 other others were injured in a road mishap at Lete Chhaktang along the Beni-Jomson road section in the district on Wednesday evening.



The deceased, who appears in her mid-40s, is yet to be identified. She died while undergoing treatment in Jomsom Hospital, it is learnt. [break]



Likewise, preparations are being made to take seven others including two foreign tourists critically injured in the mishap to Pokhara by a helicopter for further treatment, said DSP Govinda Prasad Bhattari.



A microbus, Dha 1 Kha 155, bound for Jomsom from Ghansa veered off the road and fell into the Kaligandaki riverside. The injured are Monica Amrin Keller, a Swiss citizen, Maikal Thuman, a German citizen and Beryaner Melapes, an Italian citizen.



One Indian citizen, three foreign tourists and ten Nepalis have been injured in the mishap, said the District Police Office. The microbus driver is still at large.
