KATHMANDU: Senior leaders of ruling Madhesi People’s Rights Forum have formally tabled a proposal to recall three ministers from the cabinet.
Party’s vice-chairman BP Yadav lodged the proposal at the party’s parliamentary party meeting Tuesday demanding that party recall Physical Planning and Works Minister Bijay Gachchhadar, Agriculture Minister Jaya Prakash Gupta and Education Minister Renu Yadav from the cabinet.
A majority of members also criticized Gachchhadar for speaking against Madhes as a single autonomous province. According to a member, Gachchhadar was asked to apologize for saying that the party has already given up demand for Madhes as a single autonomous province. The latest development in the party comes in the wake of tussle between Gachchhadar and party Chairman Upendra Yadav.
The members also urged the party to review its continuity in the coalition government.
