MPRF-D shows green signal toward local elections

KATHMANDU, Feb 21: Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (Democratic) (MPRF-D) has shown green singles toward taking part in the local elections announced by the government.


Talking to journlists after the all party meeting convened by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, MPRF-D Chairman Bijaya Kumar  Gachchhadar said that his party will take part in the local elections.

“We will take part in the elections. Before we go for elections, we should endorse the constitution amendment bill,” he said.


Meanwhile, the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) has announced fresh protests. It has been maintaining that the constitution amendment proposal should be endorsed prior to going for the local elections.


The all party meeting is underway in New Baneshwar.
