MP Thapa proposes to contribute one-month salary of lawmakers to govt’s COVID-19 fund

KATHMANDU, March 23: Lawmaker and leader of the main opposition Nepali Congress Gagan Kumar Thapa has proposed to contribute one-month salary of each of the lawmaker to the ‘coronavirus fund’ set up by the government.

KATHMANDU, March 23: Lawmaker and leader of the main opposition Nepali Congress Gagan Kumar Thapa has proposed to contribute one-month salary of each of the lawmaker to the ‘coronavirus fund’ set up by the government.


MP Thapa took to Twitter on Monday urging one and all to contribute to the fund as per their capacity and assured the government of joining hands in an attempt to prevent COVID-19.

“The government should also assure that it won’t leave any stone unturned to take care of those citizens who are in trouble due to possible outbreak of COVID-19,” wrote Thapa.
