CHITWAN, Aug 24: Member of Parliament Hari Dhakal has conducted on-site inspections of various development projects and programmes in Chitwan Constituency No. 1.
Dhakal, who was elected from Chitwan-1, is also the chairperson of the House of Representatives’ State Affairs and Good Governance Committee.
A team comprising Dhakal, representatives of federal government offices and technical officials visited various wards of Ratnanagar Municipality to assess the progress, quality and implementation status of projects that began last fiscal year and are currently under construction. They also gathered information from concerned officials, technicians and local residents.

Dhakal said the team also inspected potential sites and preparations for new projects and programmes planned for the current fiscal year. He said necessary coordination and initiatives would be taken with concerned agencies and ministries to ensure that projects are implemented on time and deliver quality, measurable results.
Officials and representatives from the district offices responsible for urban development, irrigation, roads, physical infrastructure, groundwater irrigation and Narayani river embankment projects participated in the field inspection.
“We are coordinating and taking necessary initiatives with the concerned agencies to ensure that ongoing and upcoming projects in areas including urban development, irrigation, roads, physical infrastructure, groundwater irrigation and river embankments move forward on time, with quality and measurable results,” Dhakal said.
Meanwhile, Dhakal had held discussions with heads of various government offices in the district a few days ago regarding the implementation of the current fiscal year’s budget and programmes.
He said he would continue to work to ensure that development projects and programmes are completed within the stipulated deadlines and to improve the effective implementation of the budget and delivery of public services by keeping people’s needs and expectations at the centre.
