MoU to provide hemodialysis service at military hospital to locals of KMC

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Nepal Army have reached an agreement to provide hemodialysis service to the local citizens of the metropolitan city at military hospital in Chhauni.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed and exchanged by KMC Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya and Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa amidst a function held at Army Headquarters on Wednesday.

Addressing the function, Mayor Shakya said this was a beginning of a historic work in partnership with the NA. He also expressed commitment to forge similar partnership with the army in the days to come.

Also, addressing the function, CoAS Thapa said army had mobilized its personnel under the ‘Go Green Campaign’ across the country in partnership with stakeholders to help plant trees in open areas and plant fruit trees in the residence of local people. 

While making the premise of army barracks free from plastic, Thapa also said that they have also launched campaign to renovate temples and other buildings of archaeological importance.
