TAPLEJUNG, March 5: A woman, who had been accused of killing her own daughter, has been incarcerated in prison on Tuesday.
Pooja Limbu, 32, of Mikwakhola Rural Municipality-4, has been sent to jail for killing her four-year-old minor.
She has been taken into prison for further investigation as per the remand from the Taplejung District Court, said police.
Fighting hidden hunger
Limbu had been accused of killing her own daughter on February 22. Seriously injured daughter had died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Similarly, a woman was found dead at Mewakhola of Meringden Rural Municipality -3, today.
The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Dilu Nalbo, said DSP Sanjaya Singh Thapa. Nalbo, who had left her house on Sunday, was found to have been stuck on a stone in Mewakhola.
The body has been handed over to her kin following postmortem at the District Hospital, said police.
