KATHMANDU, June 3: An early morning procession was organized to mark the World Environment Day-2023.
The World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year since 1974 at the call of the United Nations Environment Program.

The morning procession was organized the Garbage Management Association Nepal, Chandragiri Environment and Trade Link and Sarvakalyan Environment Services Pvt Ltd with the main slogan of 'Clean Cities: Our Desire'. The procession was held from Bhrukutimand and passed through Bhadrakali, Sahid gate, Sundhara, Ratnapark, Jamal, Old Bus Park to Bhruktimandap. It turned into a corner meeting.
Likewise, civil society organizations working in the field of environment are going to hold various awareness-raising programs to mark the Day.
