KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) says the monsoon trough has shifted south of its usual position, causing monsoon activity to gradually weaken across Nepal.

This afternoon, expect mostly cloudy skies over the hilly regions, including Sudurpaschim, while other areas will see partial cloud cover. The DHM forecasts a chance of moderate rainfall in parts of the hills — especially Sudurpaschim — and at one or two spots in the Terai.
