KATHMANDU, March 15: A money transfer operator was shot at in Rautahat. Nitesh Sah, 26, the owner of Shiva Money Transfer, was shot at.

Spokesperson for the District Police Office, Rautahat, DSP Agila Giri said that the people involved in the shooting have also been arrested. “We have also arrested three people of the group that shot at the money transfer operator. Further investigation is going on,” DSP Giri said.

Weapons were also recovered from the arrested people. The injured have been sent to Birgunj for treatment. DSP Giri said that it was found that a group of robbers opened fire with the intention of looting.

District Police Office Rautahat said that all the details are yet to come as a detailed investigation into the incident is underway.

Earlier in parliament, Rautahat MP Kiran Kumar Sah drew the Speaker's attention to the shootout.
