Amongst all the varieties, tandoori chicken and south Indian sambar momo will make their debut at the fest this year. With the liberty of eating all you can, the momo-making and -eating competition once again remain an attraction of the annual fest.
The past weekend saw Momo mania at Butwal and Palpa where the record for momo-eating competition has been set to 19 and 12 pieces eaten per minute respectively. But Nati Maharjan, the winner of the competition in 2008, still holds the record of 33 gulped down within a mean minute.

Of course, besides the eating competition, you also have Coke and beer drinking contests. The event will also have a musical live performance, this time by Sound Cuddles, winner of the Sprite Band Challenge-2.
The Momo Mania will be held on February 27 at two Bakery Café outlets in Kathmandu. The first will be at the Bouddha outlet from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, and the Sundhara outlet opens up for the fest from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The tickets are priced at Rs. 495 for adults and Rs 295 for kids, and are available at all The Bakery Café outlets.
