LONDON, UK, Aug 5: Nepal Foods has achieved significant recognition at the Great Taste 2024 awards, taking home four prestigious accolades for its standout products: Hot Momo Sauce, Chilli Oil with Shrimp, Chicken Momo, and Flaming Akbare Sticks. Judged by the esteemed Guild of Fine Food’s expert panel, these products have solidified Nepal Foods’ reputation as a top global food producer.
According to a press statement issued by the company, the Hot Momo Sauce and Chilli Oil with Shrimp each received a coveted Great Taste 2-star rating, praised for their exceptional flavor. The judges described the Hot Momo Sauce as a “bear hug of a chili sensation” and the Chili Oil with Shrimp as “well balanced in the mix with a flavorsome heat.”

In addition, the Chicken Momo and Flaming Akbare Sticks were both awarded a Great Taste 1-star, recognising them as products that deliver fantastic flavors. The Chicken Momo was lauded as a “juicy, textural delight,” while the Flaming Akbare Sticks were noted for their “unique and interesting snacks with the perfect ratio of salty, spicy, fruity, and sour.”
This year, a total of 13,672 products were subjected to the rigorous blind judging process of the Great Taste awards. Nepal Foods’ products received outstanding feedback, distinguishing themselves in a highly competitive field, as mentioned in the statement.

“The Great Taste awards, organized by the Guild of Fine Food, are recognised as a stamp of excellence and are highly sought after by food lovers and retailers. All products are blind-tasted to ensure impartiality, with a panel of over 500 judges participating in this year’s evaluations over 92 days in Dorset and London. The competition saw entries from 115 countries. Nepal foods products are available in the UK, Europe, Japan, the USA and Australia,” the statement reads.
