MoE for amending education act

KATHMANDU, Nov 1: The Ministry of Education (MoE) is preparing to table a proposal to amend the Education Regulations in the Cabinet for the implementation of School Area Reform Programme.



MoE Spokesman Janardan Nepal informed this speaking at an interaction organized by Society Affairs Concern Centre in Capital on Tuesday. New provisions will be incorporated regarding the entry of teachers in the regulations, he said.[break]



He also said that the government has been running educational campaigns with the participation of the stakeholders and taking suggestions in mind.



Chairman of Parents´ Association Suprabhat Bhandari said that the government shouldn´t bring in education programs as wanted by donors.



Chairman of Nepal Teachers´ Association Mohan Gywali said that big and residential public schools should be established for the reform of community schools.
