Firstly, the orthodox society serves as a chief hindrance. Modeling is not considered a respectable job and is looked down upon by many. Even parents do not consider it as a career option and are worried that their children are vulnerable to unethical methods once they get into this.
Secondly, it requires high confidence to stand in front of the mass topped with the ability to be camera friendly. And believe it, building enough stamina to face the crowd effectively is not that easy. “Face the faces” is what Kala Subba said.
Most people simply overlook the fact that modeling requires a lot of creativity and just consider it as a medium for skin show off. This further dampens the spirit of a youngster thinking of taking up modeling. It is true that there is skin show off, but analyzing it from a wider perspective, there is an undeniable requirement of it. After all, it is the matter of looking good in front of others and feeling wonderful. However, utmost care should be taken by the models that their photo shots are not used for wrong purposes like cyber pornography.
Cost also plays a crucial role in stimulating youths to take up a career and modeling is expensive as it requires up-to-date physical grooming, maintenance of a high profile of their outer (and inward) appearance, fashionable and latest outfits not to mention the stylish flair of them and eye-catching accessories.

All these contribute in making modeling a challenging and a difficult task. However, once you can establish yourself in this, name and fame is an easy turnout. There are models who seem pretty satisfied with what they are doing.
Modeling requires a painstaking job of effective communication, a charismatic personality and above all, the tactic of artful presentation. It does involve some skin show off but that is not all. As Kala Subba puts it, “modeling is an art” and like every art it has its own dignity. So a message to the youngsters, if you are interested in taking modeling as your career just do it! Be very careful about the agency that you choose as this is what Kala ma´am stressed about, “agency matters!” Like every other profession, it also requires a positive attitude, perseverance and relentless effort. If you can manage that you are sure to win. So why not give it a try!
