KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): A 10-day Mobile Festival has started at Vishwojyoti Mobile Mart at the Vishwajyoti Mall in Jamal, Kathmandu. CEOs of six smartphone companies jointly inaugurated the festival, according to a statement issued on Wednesday. “The festival allows visitors to exchange their old smartphones with the new one, and also provides free mobile servicing. Similarly, participating companies are offering discounts of up to 40 percent on purchase of new smartphones,” the statement added. According to the organizers, people buying goods worth more than Rs 10,000 will get sure-shot prizes. Leading smartphone brands like ZTE, Lava, Gionee, Lenovo, InFocus, Oppo, Xiaomi, Coolpad, Samsung and Ovi, among others, are participating in the expo, according to the statement.
Machhapuchchhre Bank relocates Dhangadi branch

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Machhapuchchhre Bank Ltd has relocated its Dhangadi branch office to a new location in Dhangadi Main Road. Issuing a statement, the bank said that president of the bank's board of directors, Birendra Prasad Mahato, inaugurated the new office amid a function on Wednesday. “The newly relocated branch office will provide complete banking services,” the statement added. The bank has a total paid-up capital of Rs 6.59 billion.
Ncell brings roaming offer
KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): GSM operator Ncell, on the occasion of New Year 2074 BS, has launched roaming schemes for its customers. According to the operator, the offer enables customers to use voice, text and data connectivity while travelling outside Nepal. "The customers can activate daily roaming data pack for free and can enjoy unlimited data service at Rs 500. The pack will be applicable in 53 countries including India, Hong Kong, the US and the UK, among others,” the statement added. Likewise, customers can activate daily roaming voice and SMS pack at Rs 500, according to the company. “Upon activation of daily roaming and SMS pack, customers can get 25 minutes of outgoing call for calling back to Nepal and respective roaming country, 25 minutes of incoming calls and 25 units of outgoing SMS," the statement added.
Hotel Mulberry starting operation from New Year 's Day

Issuing a statement, the hotel has said that it would provide five-star services to customers despite being rated as a three-star hotel. “The hotel is only 30 minutes drive away from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
