Mobile Expo concludes

KATHMANDU, April 21 : Samsung Galaxy J1 Mobile Expo 2015 concluded in Kathmandu on Monday.

The expo was organized by Mobile Bazaar at CTC Mall of Sundhara.


Issuing a press statement, Mobile Bazaar said transactions worth Rs 124 million were recorded during the 11-day expo. More than 720,000 people visited the expo, according to the organizers.

"We have successfully concluded the first of its type mobile expo in the country. We were overwhelmed by visitors' turnout," Keshav Raj Luitel, general secretary of Mobile Bazar, said, adding, "We were compelled to extend the expo by four days due to huge turnout."

Luitel said outlets in Mobile Bazaar will extend scheme and offers launched during the expo till mid-May.

More than 12,000 mobile sets were sold during the 11-day event, according to the organizers. Similarly, the organizers distributed 80 different through various lucky draw schemes. Eleven buyers received 55 percent cash back, according to the organizers.

Meanwhile, CG Impex on Monday launched G3 Stylus smartphone during the expo. The G3 Stylus, which costs Rs 29,999, has 5.5-inch IPS display, 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 13 MP camera and 3,000 mAh battery.
