The expo will have 52 stalls through which distributors of major mobile manufacturing companies will showcase and sell latest mobile sets and accessories, and also inform the customers about latest technology, mobile repair training centers, new software and other services. [break]The stalls will also provide 10 to 20 percent discount on all purchases.
"All mobile companies selling their products in the Nepali markets are going to participate in the event," said Purushottam Basnet, president of MTAN, elaborating that companies featuring their products in the expo would include Samsung, Nokia, LG, Spice, Blackberry, iPhone, HTC, G-five, Motorola, Karbonne, Maxx, Olive and Lava, among others.
Along with hand sets, mobile applications, software and different brands of Laptops will also be in display, stated Basnet, adding that the aim of the expo was to inspire the mobiles traders and make the general consumers aware about Anroid, Smart and iPhone technology.
"It will provide an opportunity to people to learn about different technical aspects of mobile phones," he stated.
MTAN officials said the event basically targets students who are set to appear in the upcoming School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination. In order to lure them, MTAN says the students can avail free entrance in the expo if they bring photocopy of their admit card. Other visitors, however, will need to pay entrance fee of Rs 50. Students in general will get 50 percent discount.
