Mixed results for Nepal in chess

KATHMANDU, July 6: Nepal´s number one woman chess player Mona Lisa Khamboo defeated Sri Lankan unrated player Premasiri Bhimasha in the 6th round of the ongoing Asian Junior Boy´s and Girl´s Chess Championship in Colombo on Sunday.



She has accumulated 2.5 points after the 6th round. Whereas Nikesh Duwal lost his game against 2043 rated Malaysian player Sumant Subramaniam. Nikesh too has 2.5 points after the 6th round. The 7th and 8th rounds of the tournament will be played on Monday.
