Missing 12 locals found safe in Jumla

JUMLA, Dec 16: Twelve locals, who had gone missing for the past four days in the high hill areas in Jumla in course of picking precious herbs amid heavy snowfall, are found safe.

JUMLA, Dec 16: Twelve locals, who had gone missing for the past four days in the high hill areas in Jumla in course of picking precious herbs amid heavy snowfall, are found safe.


The local residents returned to their village at around 10 pm on Sunday from Shera Patan area.

The local administration had urged the central government to dispatch a rescue team along with helicopters. Owing to poor weather, the helicopters could not fly to the area from where the locals had gone missing. The district has witnessed heavy snowfall in the recent days.
