KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has promoted its Director Bam Bahadur Mishra to the post of the Executive Director. The meeting of the board of the central bank held on Thursday decided to elevate Mishra to the post of the executive director.
He heads the Payment Systems Department of the NRB. Prior to that, Mishra worked as the head of the Banks and Financial Institutions Regulation Department of the central bank. Mishra, who worked with private banks for eight years, joined the central bank 16 years ago.
As someone who completed his Masters of Public Policy (MPP) from the Tokyo-based National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Mishra has expertise in foreign exchange management.
