KATHMANDU, Nov 28: A cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Sunday decided to give consent in principle to the concerned ministry to formulate federal and provincial laws related to local governance.
Likewise, the meeting also decided to receive Rs 13 billion offered by the Asian Development Bank for the implementation of School Sector Development Program and Rs 5.88 billion offered by the World Bank for Road Area Development Project, informed Minister for Information and Communication and government spokesman Surendra Kumar Karki.

The meeting also decided to operate Rupa Lake Conservation Integrated Development Project, Greater Dang Valley Madi-Lungri Corridor Irrigation Project and Risky Landslide Mitigation Program.
Likewise, the meeting also decided to promote joint-secretary Krishna Prasad Devkota to the post of secretary and promote Rabindra Pandit to the post of director of the National Investigation Department.
