Minister Yadav off to Dubai

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: Minister for Information and Communications, Raj Kishor Yadav, left for Dubai on Saturday in order to participate in the conference of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU).



The conference to start next day would last till October 18.[break]



Talking briefly to the National News Agency (RSS) before his departure, MinisterYadav said the conference would hold extensive discussion on development and extension of information technology and the policy related problems emerged while implementing the technology in the global level. Similarly, it would prepare a roadmap to cope with these problems.



The ITU is the body to monitor satellite technology, he said, adding that as Nepal was preparing for satellite technology in the telecommunication sector, the discussion would also be held on this.



Moreover, Minister Yadav will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts on what could be exchanged in the telecommunications sectors.
