KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Bikram Timilsina has taken stock of the health condition of people rescued from the Bhotekoshi flood and receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
Minister Timilsina visited the Teaching Hospital on Friday afternoon and met with hospital officials to inquire about the health of injured and affected people rescued from the flood, arrangements made for their treatment and the hospital’s overall management.

Of the 78 people rescued from Rasuwa and brought to the hospital for treatment following the flood on August 26, 29 were still receiving treatment as of 9 am Friday. The hospital said those whose health had improved after treatment had already been discharged.
Hospital officials informed Minister Timilsina that there had been no problems in providing treatment to the flood victims so far and that those undergoing treatment were receiving health services without difficulty.
Minister Timilsina urged the concerned agencies to ensure effective coordination and management so that injured and affected citizens receive adequate treatment and necessary health services during disasters.
