Minister Shrestha directs officials for prompt rescue of those stranded due to rain

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha has directed the officials concerned for the rescue of foreign and domestic tourists and mountaineers who have been stranded at various places across the country due to continuous rain and snowfall.

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha has directed the officials concerned for the rescue of foreign and domestic tourists and mountaineers who have been stranded at various places across the country due to continuous rain and snowfall. 


He called officials of the Department of Tourism, the bodies under the ministry and security agencies at the ministry and asked them to immediately rescue the stranded people.

The minister acted on the information that many people including foreign and domestic tourists and mountaineers have been stranded in various parts of the country including Manang, Gorkha, Mustang and Upper Dolpo due to bad weather. Some of them have been rescued, it has been said.
