KATHMANDU, Dec 27: Newly-appointed Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi assumed office on Sunday.
On the occasion, Minister Rayamajhi directed the employees to work for the country's prosperity and development as per the national aspiration. “The possibilities in the energy sector need to be capitalized for the prosperity of the country," he said.

He also shared his plans of increasing the production and consumption of energy in the days to come. The irrigation sector will also be addressed through proper planning, he said.
On a different note, Minister Rayamajhi said that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) was in the interest of the country, and that it should be implemented without further debate on it.
Energy Secretary Madhusudan Adhikari welcomed Minister Rayamajhi to his office, while aprising him with the state of affairs of the Ministry.
