Minister Pandey informs House on Lipu Lekh pact

KATHMANDU, July 2: The government on Thursday informed the Legislature-Parliament the India-China bilateral agreement over Lipu Lekh—a piece of land in Nepal bordering the two neighboring countries— on Thursday.




Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey addressing the meeting said the government is collecting information on the pact through diplomatic channels.

On Wednesday, Speaker Subas Nembang had issued a ruling to that end after lawmakers flayed the government over the deal between the two countries.Minister Pandey had consulted Prime Minister Sushil Koirala on the issue earlier today.
