KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale has said that the Batas Group had undertaken various works at the inn (Dharamsala) in the Pashupatinath area without any approval.
Talking to media personnel after inspecting the inn managed by Batas group with members of the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust (PADT) and the investigation committee on Sunday, Minister Ale maintained that some of the rooms of the inn have been given to private users, while many works have also been carried out without the approval of the PADT.
“We inspected the inn. Many of the rooms were found to be given to private clients, which is not allowed. Similarly, many works have been carried out without seeking any approval from the Pashupatinath Area Development Trust. First of all, the tender was even rejected when it was tabled at the council meeting of the trust. We will present a report by tomorrow and move ahead accordingly,” Minister Ale said.
