DANG, Oct 13: The construction works for developing a 'mini zoo' within the Rapti Shanti Park periphery has kicked off.
The mini zoo will be developed with investment and support from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and local consumers inside the park located at Tulsipur – 3 of Dang.
The mini zoo within the park developed for children's entertainment is expected to bring changes to the school going children's mundane lifestyle and assuage their mental tension from a week-long study.
The construction of the zoo has started at an investment of Rs 2.4 million, Rapti Shanti Park Management Committee Chairman, Top Bhadur KC said. The zoo will house 14 different bird and animal species including deer, fox, nilgai (Asian antelope), monkey, ostrich and kalij pheasant, he added.
The park has rails, slides, swings and plans to add boating and Lord Buddha's pillar, Committee said. RSS
