Mini-truck hits man to death

NUWAKOT, Oct 1: A pedestrian was struck to death by a mini-truck in Bidur, the Nuwakot district headquarters, on Monday.

Mait Singh Tamang, 50, of Salme VDC-4 of the district was fatally injured after a mini-truck (Ba 1 Kha 9905) knocked him down near the Nepal Bank office.

Tamang succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the district hospital in Trishuli. Police have detained the driver Ramesh Thapa, 22, and impounded the vehicle.
