KATHMANDU: The midterm review of the current fiscal year budget has found country's economic indicators satisfactory with the increase in agricultural products, expansion of industrial capacity, increase in tourist arrival and reform in power supply.
The midterm review report presented by Finance Minister Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada on Tuesday mentioned that in the six months of the current fiscal year, the remittance increased; revenue collection increased and capital expenditure increased. These signal the economic growth to be around the expected rate.

Rs 375.82 billion was expended in the review period, which is the 28.6 percent of total allocated budget.
Similarly, in the six months, government was able to collect Rs 402.45 billion revenue, which is the 26 percent up as compared to the same period last year. The average inflation in the review period is 4.2 percent. The remittance also grew by 30.2 percent reaching Rs 443.36 billion.
The export was increased by 10 percent during the review period.
