KATHMANDU, Feb 22: Center for Microfinance (CMF), Nepal, is organizing a three-day microfinance summit in Kathmandu from March 15.
Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Wednesday, the organizers said that the summit aims to discuss and offer microfinance institutions, cooperatives, and government agencies a much needed chance to cooperate on solutions to the sector's most pressing challenges.
The summit, which is being held with the theme 'Balancing Financial, Social and Human Values', will bring nearly 800 participants from various stakeholders like the government, microfinance institutions, development partners, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and beneficiaries, according to organizers.
According to Harihar Acharya, the CEO of CMF Nepal, 28 working papers pertaining to microfinance issues will be presented by various experts and leaders of the industry.
Adhikari further said that the summit, fourth in series, will discuss challenges and problems in microfinance sector and aims to bring stakeholders, including beneficiaries, under one roof to find solutions.
