Mega Bank launches branchless banking in five locations without access to banking facilities

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Mega Bank Nepal Limited has launched branchless banking services in five locations of four districts that are deprived of banking services as of now.

According to Mega Bank, it has appointed representatives at Pauvadumma Rural Municipality-3 of Bhojpur, Golanjor Rural Municipality-5 of Sindhuli, Deurali of Musikot Municipality-5 of Gulmi and Punarbas Municipality-8 and Banka of Krishnapur Municipality-2 of Kanchanpur district to offer banking services.  

Under the branchless banking scheme, Mega Bank offers account opening, cash withdrawal, loans and recharging of Nepal Telecom, Ncell and Dish Home, among others, to the bank’s customers, reads a press release issued by Mega Bank.
